So lately my girls have been complete pains in our rear. I will not lie I now let the entire world know my girls have been rotten! So grounding and spanking does not work anymore. It just doesn't. I'm having a hard time with the whole not listening thing and complaning issues too! So I had an idea. Well I got it off another blogger but I totally stole it with some of my own twists! Now please note my printer is not working at the moment and until I buy a new one these will have to work. So my art work isn't the best. Anyways here's what to do.
create your little ice cream scoops. I'm sure your's will look better than mine at this moment so get creative! Eventually when I get my printer back. I am going to put these on a board. The board will be easy peasy to make. Here's how to make the board: Get a nice long peice of board I'm talking like 6x12 or longer. and go to your homedepot and buy the metal shingles. You only need about 3. Glue them on your board so it looks like sections. then each section I am going to have square for Kaleighan square for Riley then an extra for the parts. You can cover the singles with cute scrapbook paper that match your decor which I plan on doing. I'll show you in another blog when and if I get that finished. Any questions please email. Okay so on to the scoops...
I made 4 scoops for each girl. I also made about 8 cherries. I also made potatoes about 7ish. I know your thinking WTH do potatoes have to do with ice cream? I'll let you know in a minute!
So everytime my girls do something without throwing fits they get a scoop. When they are bad they get one taken away! At the end of the week if they have all 4 scoops they get to pick a cherry on top! Cherries consist of a small reward they get that day. Example: my kids love beef jerky so they can go to the store and get 1 beef jerky. Or they like to have a movie night were we all sit and pop popcorn and they can pick the movie out. Other ideas I'll go the quarter machine's and they can pick something out or have a friend over. I mean just small rewards nothing too extravagant. If by the end of the week they have NO scoops they get a potato in the cone. My girls hate potatoes so I kinda went with it. The potatoes have things that they cannot do (if they were extremly bad that day.) Example no playing wii, no cheer, no library and ect...
So today is the first day and so far THIS IS WORKING OUT GREAT!! So I'll update in a month and let you know how we're doing!

Chore "scoops"

The morning cup of coffee has an exhilaration about it which the cheering influence of the afternoon or evening cup of tea cannot be expected to repro
Need I say more really?
My first cup of cappuccino was last year. It was rather a cold night & my friend and I wanted to do some christmas shopping. While doing so she had discovered that I have never had a cup of coffee. So after a few laughs she takes me to the the one and only starbucks. I have to say it was rather embarrassing asking the clerk what he recommended to a non-coffee drinker. So with further ado the Pumpkin Spice Cappuccino it was. I didn't like it. It was not good. So later down the road Larry talks me into french vanilla & white chocolate. I was hooked until one day it was cold outside. I stop at a local QT for a cup a french vanilla. There it was starring at me. We fell in love. As I pressed the button watching it slowly drip into my styrofoam cup, I can tell it wanted me and i wanted it. It smelled so good. Better than pumpkin pies. I went to smell it before putting the lid on. MmMmmm.... Smelled like a peice of heaven. It taste so good going down my throat into my stomach and settling into my thighs... Mmmmm. So for a couple weeks straight I go & I fill up on the simple sweet taste of heaven, bright early in the mornings, late midnight snack. Then one day after I was grocery shopping I needed something to give me a little boast of heaven. I went to get my styrofoam cup, I look once then I looked again. WHERE THE HELL DID IT GO?? TOTALLY sold out of the stuff!! It was so so so wrong. I ask the fast pace talker clerk WTF? They got ONE case of the stuff and now it GONE! AHHHHH!!!!! I felt like dying how could they just do that? It was so way wrong.
One month goes by...
Two months go by...
I'm shopping at sunfresh with the lovely family and I see a mix for pumpkin spice BUT in latte form. Okay that's a bit different. So naive and NOT knowing the difference between coffee, latte and cappuccino. I say okay wth I'll buy it. Mmmm not as good as the QT kind but it will do. Add a little milk & cinnamon and it was tasty.
Since then I've bought new things due to self depression of my long lost pumpkin cappuccino. I came accross this kind today that I tought was really creamy and smooth (that's what the label tells me to say). Folgers Cappuccino Sweet, CREAMY & SMOOTH french Vanilla. It's pretty awesome stuff. So to my new found fattening non diet helping addiction I leave you with this quote from my mother & my response. "Being LDS we don't drink Coffee it's just something we do not do." I say, "I haven't been to church in 11 years & that coffee stuff, well that shit's good!"

Hairclippies
A couple months ago I could not find a certian color of hair clips for the girls' outfits. So I went to the local fairs and they were selling handmade one's for 3 for $5. Which was not a bad price. But still I didn't find the right color of teal. So I looked online how to make it. OMG it was the easiest thing ever. Totally thought it was going to be harder. So I picked up some glue sticks, ribbon & aligator clips and I went to town. Now I added flowers on some but I have to admit I like the plain one's much better. I also like just a plain ol' button or charm added. I made some really cute Halloween one's that turned out cute as well. So easy I'm telling you so easy! My next project I'm going to make flower clippies you see on knit hats and such. So excited to figure out those!

Halloween time 2009
This year's Halloween Costumes. Oh my goodness we did so many things this Halloween we were pooped by the time Halloween came. We went to a parade, trunk or treating, church activities, work parties. The girls got tons of candy. On Halloween we did our annual family tradition and went to Larry's Aunt & Uncle's to trick or treat with our group of 20 some people. It was great. This was the first year we didn't do too much of hand holding. Riley was a trooper going up to each door like a big girl. It was so much fun. Larry was even able to come which was so wonderful being he works most of the pasts Halloween's. Well here's our pictures of this years costumes enjoy.

I can't cook but I can bake!!
I've been wanting to bake some pumpkin bread for a while now. So today was the day. We went in the front to pick out one of our pumpkins. First one we picked up I kid you not, the bottom just fell out and had a horrid smell along with all the pumpkin smooshed and it was so bad I had to hose the porch down. So after convincing myself that the other's wouldn't be like that I picked up another one. Great! No pumpkin guts falling out before I cut it. So we take in the pumpkin. And the 8 hour process began...
Scooping out the "good" pumpkin guts.
Time to boil the pumpkin peices in a very large pot for an hour.
Went to store to buy the missing ingredents......
Still at store.......................................................................
Lunch time!.....Cooking Lunch........Still waiting on the pumpkins to boil.............................................still waiting.................
DONE!
Time to scrape the pumpkins. (pumpkin puree)
My helpful assistant Riley Paige.
Miley hoping we drop something yummy for her to eat.
The bakers not the candelstick makers...
The good smelln' mixture. Yumm!!
Don't forget to slice the middle half way into baking it.
Final project! Yummmmmmmmy!
It tasted soo good! I've got two more pumpkins outside. 1 gallon size pumpkin freezing. Guess what everyone is getting for christmas?? hehe
Here you go the receipe:
Pumpkin Bread
1 1/2 C. Flour
1/2 Tsp. Salt
1 C. Sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
1 C. Pumpkin Puree
1/2 C Olive Oil
2 eggs
1/4 C. water
1/2 tsp. nutmet
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp all spice
1/2 c. walnuts (raisins) (opt)
Mix all dry ingredents then add the rest of the ingredents. Lightly butter the bread pans. Bake at 350* 50-60min. Half way through cut in the middle of the bread. Makes 1 loaf. Enjoy!!

What's for lunch?
I seen this on someone's blog. I can't remember who but I wanted to share the Costco Lunch. I don't like to call it Sams club lunch because I think Costco is a much funner word. My girls loved it and thought it was a great/ awesome idea eating off something else other than boring 'ol plates.
Never Ever...
Leave your child unattended or they might get stuck in a chair & it takes you 10min. to "unstuck" them.
Pumpkin Heads
Last year my mom sent us some of these "Potato head Pumpkin parts". I think I've seen them previously on Heather's blog I'm not sure though. Anyways since my mom sent them a little late last year we didn't get the chance to use them. So this year I figured we wanted to keep our pumpkins a little longer than 1 week before they molded and so the girls decorated away. Miley even helped by taking them out but it was fun. So thanks mom! Enjoy our pictures. Happy Pumpkin Sticking!
